I wrote this last week when I was really struggling with tossing emotions. Just really getting swept off with emotions and what they were telling me. I got so upset at them telling me how to love, and God spoke so softly to me through the midst of me and my mess of tossy turny emotions, I am sure everyone can relate to this experience. It happens daily, when we have to set emotions aside and press into the truth grounded on His word and what His love would say about whatever our situation is. I have realized so much how immature my loving still is and wanting so much more to be loved and to love with the love founded on pure knowing and not just feeling. Of course God feels for me, but it is grounded on the knowing and the two come together so beautifully and perfectly. How secure and comforting to know that when I fail at loving based on truth because of getting swept away by emotion and when others fail to love me based on the truth first and just from pure emotion that He will always just know that He knows that He loves me.
